The bright colours of the frescoes, which make the large ceilings of the various rooms precious, are one of the distinctive features of this important private residence, which was designed to resemble an aristocratic palace. After the usual historical and iconographic research, which is a prerequisite for any work undertaken, AB Italia worked first of all on the creation of the majestic exterior, with a façade enriched with marble and friezes, fluted columns and a wide staircase leading to the interior.
The sumptuous interior is illuminated not only by the large windows, but also by the countless shades of white of the rich boiserie, adorned with elaborate decorations, including gold leaf, and shiny brass inserts. The brightness of the marble, which is also combined with each other in elaborate floral inlays, is framed not only by the white boiserie but also by plastic sculptures in lacquered wood that bring to mind the statues of ancient residences.
The choice of white for the floors and walls is therefore a “pretext” for allowing the eye to linger and contemplate the thousands of shades of colour that characterize the frescoed ceilings.
The photos taken during the course of the work demonstrate the care and commitment required in accomplishing even the smallest details and the craftsmanship, in the highest sense of the term, always synonymous with high manual skill and great ability.
