Today, metals are being used more and more often in furniture solutions because they add a sophisticated touch to the design, give it brightness and shine. Sometimes a few metal details are enough to create uniqueness. Metals have always been used in architecture, but they also play a leading role in interior design. The metals used range from wrought iron, also coated in gold leaf, to brass, bronze, steel and aluminium.

The use of metals in furniture is not only dictated by their strength and durability, but also by their strong aesthetic characteristics. Frequently subjected to specific treatments such as chromium-plating, satin-finishing, varnishing, depending on their finishes, they are extremely distinctive additions to a stage. Different types of metal can be found as inserts in wooden boiserie, in the production of certain pieces of furniture, in the decoration of doors and windows, in the supporting structures of stained-glass windows and balustrades of stairways and balconies.
