The elegant waiting room of a major Manhattan law firm. The project was meant to welcome and put clients and employees at ease, but also to suggest an idea of utmost professionalism and competence at first glance.
The main feature of the large lounge is a very special fireplace that divides the two lounge areas furnished with sophisticated and comfortable upholstery. The marble floor is embellished with soft silk carpets. The boiserie alternating with lacquered panels is also modern and sophisticated. The paneled walls are visually lightened by the brightness of chrome metal elements.
The ceilings are characterized by the use of big burnished mirrors. The aim was to alternate shiny and chrome parts, both for ceilings and floors, in a striking interplay of light and shadow, and of tranquillity and dynamism. The same play of alternating shiny and matte is found in the big meeting room with its spotted marble wall and three-dimensional textured wall covering. Everything is played out in multiple shades of grey, enlivened by small touches of colour, always very discreet and elegant.
