PRIVATE RESIDENCE

The warmth of the wood is enhanced by the brightness of the light that enters and pervades the rooms through large windows overlooking the lively, historic streets of one of Germany’s oldest and best-known cities.

Wood is undoubtedly the main interpreter of hospitality in this historic home, characterizing all the parquet work on the floors, but also forming the load-bearing structure of the large staircase leading to the mezzanine and covering part of the walls as well as the imposing fireplace, the visual focus of the living area.

Wood is combined with the transparency and colour of the glass panels of the doors and windows, as well as with the floral motifs of the stained-glass of the ceilings. Finally, it is softened matched to shiny mirrors in the sleeping area of the house, to amplify and illuminate at the same time, visually reflecting all the warmth of the environment and the pleasure of living in a home in the middle of town.
